Sometimes it can be tough to find helpful resources online.
The balanced mind parent network is a group of parent peers who come together to provide support to each other around issues of depression and bipolar.
Some useful resources on the site include:
- a list of online support communities you can join
- a family helpline
- advice on navigating the education system including information on educational rights, how to become an effective educational advocate, as well as how to talk to your child’s school about your child’s needs such as creating an Individual Education Program (IEP)
- an online library of educational information (e.g. bipolar disorder, medications, recent news, current research)
